A kid in Hawaii got a pretty crappy Christmas surprise when he opened his present from his mom. To his overwhelming astonishment he got what he always had wanted--an iPod. Overjoyed with a sense of love he opened it up and got a pretty nasty taste of reality.
He didn't find a brand new iPod; what he found was a rancid piece of mystery meat. His mom swears that the iPod was factory sealed. She had it on preorder at Wal-Mart and it was the last one in stock.
Welcome to the real world kid. It sucks. As much as I feel for the kid (and the everlasting trauma he probably will bear for the rest of his life), I feel more for the mom. She put it on layaway, which means she still has to pay for the present--it's on her credit card! Eh, what are you gonna do?
You can read the news story HERE! or watch CNN's streaming video report HERE! This is real. I swear it. Special thanks go out to my buddy Brent Tashiro for forwarding this story to me. --Rice Burner

I concur: WTF?
Doode, thanks F-up.
Does it come other colors?
One time I opened up a condom wrapper and found a quarter.

At least their going to replace it. And I thought getting something that was broken was bad. He had a Christmas he will never forget. Good times.
I wonder if it was returned, "as is"
its not 'mystery meat'... its SPAM... after all, this kid's in Hawaii right?
