E3 Goes To War Against Booth Babes? Or. . . Not? - [ Bikini Line ]

I don't get what the whole hub-bub is really about. While I love . . . ah . . . I mean appreciate booth babes (respectfully called campaign girls in Japan), and the atmosphere they contribute to at E3, however, the new sanctions are not going to ban anything I'll particularly miss.

The E3 exhibitor's handbook specifically states "Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the Show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the Show. ESA, in its sole discretion, will determine whether material is acceptable."

So no nudity or bikini bottoms on the show floor. Big deal! It's not the end of the world. Can anyone even really recall a memory where there was a naked girl or a girl in bikini bottoms at E3? Can you?

If a company breaks this ruling they'll be fined $5000. Hmm, is five grand really that much of a fine. Yeah, it's a lot of money, but to break the rules and set yourself up as a company who thinks out of the box would be some good PR. All I know is we won't be missing much.--Rice Burner

This doesn't make sense, E3's not open to the public, and because of that most people if not all are over the age of 18, but yeah, either way I don't think it will change the show very much, no big deal at all. Some people are going to be very upset and disappointed though (I'll admit that it disappoints me a little).

Same here, but not by that much. I just don't get what the big deal is (and this is me talkiing). It does add a bit of excitement to checkout the games, be at E3, and see a few drop dead gourgeous women, but common, this is suppose to be a industry event. Not a Import Car Show. That's just my take.

I for one am boycotting. But then again, I was never part of the industry and have no right to be there anyways. lol

hey this chick looks good but she should have let a little bit more of her skin show than what they showed. That really would have made my day if they especially showed her pussy and her tiddies and her ass that would have been a real sexual snd maybe sexy women or is she a man !

Sex isn't dirty. It's 2006, not 1940!

They should try enforcing their "No under 18s" rule instead of banning partial nudity.

I think the women Of E3 add a certain something to the whole atmosphere. I especially Liked when an X-men game came out (it was either the X-men mutant academy or X-men Legends) And some of the female models Dressed as Rogue Storm and the jean grey. That was really cool. (huge X-men fan) and the Namco girls are practically trademarked. I think if you remove the girls you'll loose something from E3. Now in no way am I condoning ideas like Drew Vincent has he's a sick sadistic Son of a Bit*h who should just come out and says he's 40 & lives in his mother's basement doing nothing but hang on the computer and read old archie comix and watch mtv all day... Drew Seriously get a Life theres more to life than watchin beyonce Shake her tail feather on TRL...

From a certain POV, yes it will change E3 if they loose bothbabes entirely, but what's purposed is sanctions on booth babe dress. You'll still see Namco girls, and X-Men Cosplay, the ladies just won't be showing as much skin. And, I agree "drew vincent" is tool. If you're spouting crap like that you have to be a very lonely guy without a solid concrete connection with reality and society. But to each his own.

Demonlord's been leaving weird tagalog-like remarks on some other journals, same line too o_O;

But anyway, you know how I feel about this, hahaha. They're just decoration. It's sad that flesh really just serves as ornaments, eye candy, whatever you want to call them, but that's their function. Yuck. I want to see the new games and technology that's coming out, not the girls who are dressed up like them =_=;
